Papua New Guinea Kainantu Sero – 10 oz
This coffee was produced on a plantation that is over 40 years old. The farm sits at 1680 meters above sea level and uses the original tree stocks of Blue Mountain Typica and Arusha. The coffee is dry fermented for 36 hours which promotes fruitiness in the cup, followed by sun drying on tarps with regular turning to facilitate even drying.
Complex layers of molasses, herbal, and fruity sweetness accent the cup. Dark berry and dried fruit like raisin and fig add to the character and body. Cardamom spice comes through as the cup cools.
