The Clever Dripper is a hybrid-style brewing method that combines pourover water flow and filtration with full immersion brewing like a French Press. The result is full flavor free of sediment. We find that it’s the easiest way to make a great cup of coffee, especially for people who want better quality without the attention required by other methods.

Measure a bit more water than the amount that fills a 10 ounce mug.
Heat to about 205˚ Fahrenheit or boil and let cool a bit before brewing.
Fold the seams of the filter. This helps it sit in the dripper better.
Pour a bit of the extra water you heated to soak the filter.
Swish this water to preheat your mug and discard.
Measure a healthy tablespoon of beans (approx. 16-18 grams).
Grind to the coarseness of coarse salt.
Remove the dripper from your mug and place on a flat surface.
Add the ground coffee.
Pour water in a circular motion to saturate all the grounds.
Stop when you get to about 1″ from the top.
Using a spoon, press down on any dry grounds to fully saturate the coffee.
Cover and set a timer for 3 minutes.
Remove the cover and give the coffee a good swirl with a spoon.
Place dripper on your mug and appreciate how “clever” your brewed coffee fills your cup.
